Chilled vibes with a late-night core and mellow vocals to match – Franklin Richards introduces the RudySamA style as partly contemporary and partly classic ambient trap.
The vocal tone and presentation within the mix makes use of effects in a similar manner to much of the scene’s releases from recent years, however there is something slightly different about the meeting of melody and rap, and the multiple layers of fragmented vocals in the outskirts – ultimately leaving things as underground and more widely relevant all at once.
The quietness of the voice means that it simply adds to the dreamlike aura and groove of the overall track. Certain lines stand tall though, live your life echoes out towards the end, and the accompanying video undoubtedly tips its hat to a similarly carefree, be yourself kind of attitude.
It will be interesting to hear where else the music takes RudySamA in the near future.
