Rudi Burke - Red, dead Ladybugs - Stereo Stickman

Rudi Burke Red, dead Ladybugs

-

From the upcoming debut album Beauty Left Within, singer and songwriter Rudi Burke lays down a colourful balance of folk-pop sentiments and something like pop-punk vocal nuance for that essential twist of character.

Red, dead ladybugs presents a full arrangement built around the familiar strum of an acoustic guitar, with the equally distinct fireside fluidity of harmonica running alongside.

Rudi’s intentions were to explore the brevity of life, the human longing for connection, and what we find here, is that the melody and organic folk set-up let these scenes and ideas reach well, even if appearing a little mysterious in their metaphor and depth.

Rudi’s voice is also considerably unique, a little punk-like as mentioned, reminiscent of nineties new-metal acts on some level, and this helps maintain a sense of identity that should, hopefully, continue to ring out across the upcoming album.
