From the brand new 2025 album Major Approved, indie hip hop presence Rok Major delivers a smooth and memorable collaboration, for the confidently distinct single My Point Of View.
Featuring a dreamy backdrop with a bold trap rhythm and haunting vocals in the distance, My Point of View showcases the uniquely recognisable tone and bars of Rok Major in a way that quietly captivates. It’s a faultless rhythm, mellow and nostalgic but with a twist of that Kendrick complexity to both the lyrics and the flow.
Conceptually the track holds attention well, the hook resolving things brilliantly each time it rolls back around. Then there’s the dynamic between the artists featured, the verses from Living Legend and Simply Nick adding further reflection and character, whilst maintaining the addictive vocal rhythm that is the track’s beating heart.
Creative production, timeless but with just enough character and melody to really connect, My Point Of View is an effortlessly catchy rap track, with both a cool modesty and inherent swagger to the setup and performances throughout.
