The song utilizes a mellow rhythm, surrounded by hypnotic synths and a subtly ever-shifting array of layers – whilst keeping the melody addictive with short outbursts of familiar lines, and a vocal drive that’s accessible and softly recognizable.
The whole thing builds up beautifully, not to an intense degree musically, but following the natural rising passion of that leading vocal. It’s a love song, and slowly but surely the music and performance fall further and further into the moment and the concept.
