Just three minutes and thirty-seven seconds in full but with a sense of evolution and dynamic that gifts a much more vast and epic feel, Into The East notes electronic twists of detail and design, and meanders again with subtlety, between the ferocity of rock and the metal screams, and the softer, more melodic and soulful instances required to connect and linger in the mind. It’s a balance perfectly captured here, and the track fascinates, while offering that essential anthemic moment and resolve at its unmissable peak.
Mythrend is moving with grace and intensity combined for this project, a full album trilogy inspired by the iconic Lord Of The Rings books, and a musical style and commitment that lets the artistic depth and passion of the approach ring out and fully immerse listeners in a cinematic new world.
Into The East is quite stunning in its creativity and charm, and is easily the most effective earworm of the set so far, but that’s a minor part of its appeal. The set-up is contemporary but rooted in nostalgic, classic tones, the lyrics are assisted but driven and devoted to the cause, and the result is an other-worldly audio escapism akin to no other.
