Munsters Jukebox - Hells Fire - Stereo Stickman

Munsters Jukebox Hells Fire

-

Something just for fun, quirky and heavy all at once – Munsters Jukebox capture the theatrical rock performance style of a simpler era, with the ferocity, personality, and intense production of Hells Fire.

Initially emerging as something of an early metal track, Hells Fire introduces the monster-esque vocal rasp and growl of Munsters Jukebox amidst a fairly simple arrangement at first. Then as things progress, we enter a surprisingly colourful synth and electro-loaded soundscape – a psychedelic to Goth-rock groove with a horror story and central character guiding us through the chaos.

Things continue to evolve, ogran keys taking the lead on the solo front before our captor declares “there’s no escape from my wrath”. It’s a huge arrangement, in short, moving from simple beginnings to a heavily layered set-up that rightfully creates that performance escapism and entertainment implied by the title and lyrical venture.

Undeniably distinct, conceptually intriguing – there’s a fantasy vibe to the Munsters Jukebox approach to modern music, and Hells Fire speaks out on behalf of that. It will be interesting to hear where else the band take things in the coming months.

“Hells Fire is under our feet. Hells fire is on a one way street.”
