Simple but striking, nostalgic country folk with lush vocals and short lines rising through the joys of romance and wonder. Joshua Jamison ignites the modern country flame, with this raspy and catchy acoustic gem.
Johnson County Line is intimate and uplifting, hopeful and warm, and follows on from the harder subject matter and bigger-band vibe of The One In Front Of You perfectly well.
In terms of the artist, the style is consistent across vocals, but there’s a versatility and elusiveness to the production and imagery, the social media presence or lack thereof, and this makes me wonder about production tools. The organic acoustic sound is lush though, and if genuine, the live versions of these songs will be phenomenal.
Really powerful, moving writing, with some modest but enchanting guitar work.
