It’s a pop rock core in essence, personally reminding me of the anthemic and colourful hits of the noughties, but it’s also refreshingly distinct in portraying the voice and artistic intentions of Jonny Herman.
2023 was reportedly a great year for Herman, and with the launch of the crooner-rock-influenced Old Romantics, that growing reach is naturally set to continue. A beautifully unexpected, creatively interesting release, which gifts a little more insight and wonder with each revisit.
