Building up beautifully, Lost in You has the hook and imagery to linger in mind – the scenes, the ocean, the romanticism and intimacy – but it also features an established sense of ability and attention to detail from the studio. We get the warmth of organic keys and notes, synths and silence for contrast, but we also get hugely distorted moments woven into the same mix, and this makes for something deeply moving throughout, and wholly euphoric at its peak.
Well-written to back up the clear production skills of John Paolo, the structure and drop of Lost in You is beautiful, satisfying and catchy, almost pop-like in its calm and quiet mention of the hook and title, and the whole thing actually feels quite brief for a summer house track of this nature – a pop quality that’s likely to keep you coming back to stream this one time and time again.
