JLC brings audiences a crisp and heavy edge of hip-hop fused with a somewhat lighter, electronic synth soundscape for the track I Be On It. Part of what makes a track stand out and lie heavy in the minds of those who hear it is this sort of fusion of original moments that come together to create something familiar and easy to relate to.
The leading rap vocal in the verses of this track has an impressive sound and performance style. The tone of the voice has a depth and intensity that’s pretty rare these days, it’s a confident and intriguing sound, perhaps even slightly intimidating – as so much classic hip-hop once was. It’s hugely effective in among this particular musical backdrop.
