GRINFAITH - RIOT - Stereo Stickman

GRINFAITH RIOT

-

Brilliant punk-rock writing and a passionate all-together-now recording introduces the timeless and aptly-titled volume of French band GRINFAITH’s intoxicating anthem RIOT.

Featuring soaring distorted power chords and a mighty bassline and beat combination, RIOT proceeds to counter spoken and near shouted punk verses, with a fully-loaded alternative choir hook that’s catchy, melodic, and brilliantly satisfying. That intentional progression, complete with some well-captured pre-hooks and a sonically soft but conceptually fierce middle-8, helps make RIOT an intense earworm of a modern rock track.

On the surface we have a gem of a near-metal explosion of performance, but underneath this, RIOT explores the topic of reclaiming minority rights amidst growing waves of oppression across the globe. The idea of RIOT is that of rebellion, of standing up for the rights of those who are slowly but surely losing their voices, and this gives the track all the more passion, weight, and purpose; particularly in such a seemingly divided 2026.
