Ghost Rebel Club - The Earthquake's Daughter - Stereo Stickman

Ghost Rebel Club The Earthquake’s Daughter

Colourful music to match the brightly coloured artwork – a catchy melody, intriguing concept, and characterful vocals. Ghost Rebel club write a timeless synth-pop anthem, for the brilliantly memorable The Earthquake’s Daughter.

Increasingly emotional, this release is, for me at least, one of the most memorable songs from the past month or so. What feels initially joyful and upbeat, soon weaves a thought-provoking web of scenery and ideas, and the ‘goodbyes’ of the hook, that melodic resolve, stands tall long after the music has ended.

Initially appealing for its Tim Minchin-esque vocal lead, The Earthquake’s Daughter soon becomes both an earworm and an alternative indie hit that’s lyrically refreshing. Ghost Rebel Club have a likeable sound, but in this case, it’s their snappy and alluring songwriting that really sets them apart.
