Fusing melody and rap, clever references and long-form bars alongside quick rhymes, the single showcases a range of talents and a genuine thread of personality that introduces the G-Pak sound with style and intention.
The balance is brilliant here, the track leans back and forth between the easy going vibes of RnB and dance-hall, and the harder hitting, unifying togetherness and confidence of hip hop. Meanwhile, these organic, somewhat oriental riffs float amidst the outer layers, and the beat continues to weave its mellow but uplifting rhythm around you.
Utilizing dynamic and contrast to a superb degree, the single grabs attention quickly, and maintains a steady sense of movement whilst also consistently mixing things up. Brooke Lynne’s vocal feature plays a powerful role in all of this. Changes in vocal pace, tone and character, help keep you interested, and in the meantime, high quality production and a clean-cut vocal presentation help the whole thing really connect. A live show would undoubtedly bring a crowd together for a big moment. Nicely done.
