The ever-impressive Jerad Finck has recently secured a well-deserved record deal with label AntiFragile Music. Enter a re-branding, a newly marked out pathway to success, and here comes some brand new music from a quickly memorable BLAZAR.
I Like It That Way showcases the very same pop sensibilities that first emerged with Jerad’s music, only this time there’s a touch of electronic ambiance united with the organic, laying bare a hypnotic groove, a strong pop build-up, and a bold indication that a live show would see the song really come alive.
From gentle, dreamy beginnings, the single tells an intimate, personal and poetic tale, before progressing towards the subtle yet addictive drop to the hook. And all of this is easy going, non-intrusive ear-wormery at its most subtly strong. Simple repeats of Oh my darling, darling, linger in the mind long after listening.
