Beaux Deity - Heaven On Earth - Stereo Stickman

Beaux Deity Heaven On Earth

-

Cinematic soundscapes and funky nostalgic basslines and beats – an eighties vibe with soundbites galore, alongside a late-night RnB vocal grit and fluidity that’s akin to The Weeknd. An intentionally elusive Beaux Deity kicks off an engaging and colourful EP, with the catch and quirky Y’all Saw.

Heaven On Earth is the new three-track project from the mysterious yet performative and confident Beaux Deity. The collection is based around creative musicianship and in-depth storytelling, and this opening track sets the bar well for that kind of captivating listen. The vibe is upbeat, uplifting, the groove intoxicating when it drops, and the hook resolves in a cool and memorable way.

After this, eclecticism of influence proves all the more clear, as the lighter summertime tones of Vibes Wavy pour through with equal parts mellow delicacy and fast-paced, floor-filler energy.

It’s a huge bounce of a mid-section track, and by now that vocal is already unmistakable as Beaux Deity. Another old-school RnB tune weaves its web in an instant, an earworm without question, and the quick-tempo and funky bass and beat combo again add something fresh to the modern scene.

Then to finish, and mixing things up further still, the smooth jazz piano introduction of Helluva God throws calm and complexity into the mix – a dreamy track with another retro bassline, warped vocals, and a sense of timeless RnB swooning, amidst a story that’s mysterious yet relatable for its short lines and deeper implications united.

Without a doubt, Beaux Deity sets this EP apart from the masses, leading with an original sound that is the production and stories combined, but also making sure to connect with the authenticity and talent of that leading voice.

It’s a pleasure to lose yourself within the good vibes here, colourful production backing stories that reveal a little more detail and insight each time you dive back in. It’s romantic, late-night escapism, with a twist of something more party-themed alongside, and that balance of elements works perfectly well.
