Allan Jamisen - Living the Dream - Stereo Stickman

Allan Jamisen Living the Dream

-

New music from Allan Jamisen brings a song built from a selection of perfectly crafted moments – the kind of colourful bursts of melody and chorus that resound as those suitable for use in uplifting reels and media alike. Not only this, Living The Dream‘s uniquely unexpected structure is fascinating, gripping from start to finish, utilising contrast beautifully, and so when you dive in for the full journey, the song holds close to your attention and mood throughout.

Composer, painter, and musician Allan Jamisen, embodies the creative lifestyle, noting an extensive journey from singer in a band during his teens to the multi-faceted and hard-working artist we hear today. Living the Dream is perhaps the perfect encapsulation of that truth, and showcases some of Jamisen’s best work in both songwriting and arrangement.

Co-produced by LA friend and creative John X Volatis, Living the Dream begins with a nearly-spoken, Johnny Cash-like vocal depth – an uncertain acoustic presentation, which intrigues lyrically – and later evolves into a pure and rhythmic folk-pop hook and crescendo that’s a sensational earworm.

Also featuring a slick and nostalgic guitar solo, with the ideal tone to really bring some gritty dynamic to the more comfortable colours of the hook, Living the Dream is one of the most unique and still satisfying indie songs to emerge so far this year. It’s familiar but not, drawing you in with professionalism and skill, maintaining your attention with quirks and flair and purpose, and connecting a little more strongly with each re-visit.
