An inspiring true story of hope in the face of tragic unexpected circumstances. Lia Marie Flora Johnson is a creative, a singer and bass player, whom first crossed our path as part of the sensational act Alaska & Aurora.
The album A Power In Love was just one part of an immense and beautiful repertoire, and when the band went their separate ways, Lia joined forces with her soulmate and guitarist, Nicolas (Nic) St Amour, and continued making music, whilst co-founding and becoming a leading teacher for the Little Tree Huggers Preschool.
Little Tree Huggers is the USA’s leading bilingual nature-based preschool, and their mission is to achieve sustainability in Leesburg, VA and beyond, with a franchise offering inspired by Lia Marie. The Leesburg community holds Little Tree Huggers Preschool in high regard, and Lia Marie even crafted a much-loved theme song in honour of their role and mission.
Sadly, in June of 2025, Lia Marie was struck by a high-speed vehicle on the first day of a dream vacation to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has been in a coma ever since. The event caused Lia to suffer a collapsed lung, multiple fractures, and severe brain injuries – specifically, a Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI). In short, Lia is fighting for her life right now, and there’s no way of knowing what comes next.

Originally intended to be part of Lia Marie and Nic’s upcoming album, her family and community felt that now seemed the perfect time to release such an uplifting and distinct song of longing and possibility.
