Dan Arwady Carry With You EP

-

Four original songs from acoustic singer and songwriter Dan Arwady highlight the purity and poetic intrigue of an artist born to create and perform. Carry With You is a simple yet striking collection, and highlights the devotion and ability of multi-instrumentalist Dan Arwady in a beautiful way.

Noting tens of thousands of monthly listeners already immersed in his sound, Dan Arwady continues to maintain a certain poetic focus and delicacy about his style. The title-track from this EP, Carry With You, follows the easy repeat of that title-line, with breathy but unique vocals and an energetic but still gentle acoustic guitar sound.

The production softly increases its presence and weight as the song evolves emotionally, but still that central warmth and uplift is held close to. It’s a humble and enjoyable introduction, and both the vocals and guitar playing lay down a strong foundation for a musically impressive EP.

Somebody Else is quite stunning for similar reasons, more quietly contemplative but still pairing the guitar strum and the solo playing, as we build towards an impassioned crescendo. And this is followed brilliantly by the more Americana-kissed groove and optimism of Where There’s Nowhere.

Dan then rounds the journey off well, with the nostalgic hope and nineties pop-rock intimacy of It’s Not Perfect.

A short but satisfying collection of original works, from a songwriter whose music genuinely speaks volumes on his behalf.
