Introducing a refreshingly organic, Eastern instrumental take on live musicianship and composition. Strings of the Heart present a simple but striking and immersive ode to the romantic connection of Valentine’s, with the distinctly colourful and melodic identity of Forever Kiss.
Inspired by their self-penned initiative of ‘Harmonizing Hearts, Elevating Souls’, Lynn and Jimmy Wolling create from a shared passion for songwriting and musicianship that stirs up deeply rooted emotions. The duo travel annually to India, to expand upon their classical instrumental abilities – the tabla and the sitar – and these experiences have played a huge role in shaping the sound of their act Strings of the Heart.
Built around these organic layers of sitar and tabla, Forever Kiss follows an easy and recognisable opening riff, through rising details that slowly but surely create an hypnotic and rather intoxicating ambiance. We’re welcomed by these subtle hand rhythms, an equally modest wash of reverb, and a fine balancing of intimate live performance and something much more vast and all-consuming.
Forever Kiss gathers rhythmic momentum and warmth throughout it’s two-minute lifespan, maintaining a mellow pace but uplifting its audience increasingly as the instruments bring about a sense of inspiring unity and motivation that naturally gets you moving. The music is both calming and motivational at its core, and makes for a beautiful example of the unrivalled power and embrace of thoughtful, intentional, artistically rooted and organic instrumentation and performance.
