Loopy Trax - Last Zombie Tango - Stereo Stickman

Loopy Trax Last Zombie Tango

-

Introducing the creatively unconfined album ZZZs Day (Strictly Dead Edition), Last Zombie Tango is an addictively interesting groove and original track, taking subtle influence from the likes of The Cure or The Smiths, but quickly injecting an original sense of musicianship and concept alongside that.

Loopy Trax is the band, an eclectic and high-energy group, renowned for both their perfect song structures and the somewhat outlandish explorations presented in their lyrics. In this case, Last Zombie Tango is a huge indie anthem, a bold and bright arrangement countering the initial darkness and implications of the lyrics.

Given the song’s extensive post-six-minute lifespan, Last Zombie Tango has its work cut out in terms of holding attention and mood, but in my view, the song achieves that beautifully – captivating from the outset for the character and depth of both our protagonist’s voice and the subject matter at hand. Later on, the song explodes into this multi-layered, high-octane indie rock realm of melody and enchantment – therein carving out its own creative lane, and securing your interest in the sound by way of a fully immersive and dreamy rock ambiance.

Music to lose yourself within, stories that fascinate, a frontman with equal parts charm and mystique – Loopy Trax are building a strong foundation as an elusive indie act, and Last Zombie Tango is a superb example of that.
