Love The Magician Rose In The Sky

-

Continuing the creative climb, the latest single from an ever-mysterious Love The Magician emerges in the form of a multi-layered, colourful and calming instrumental – a synth-pop arrangement of cascading layers that work towards a dreamy overall finish.

Rose In The Sky follows on from Breeding as the brand new title, almost six-minutes in full and both nostalgic and distinct in its pairing of the classic programmed groove and the more freestyle ethereal waves of synth and colour that light up the outer edges.

With artwork featuring the Natural Bridges beach of the composer’s home-town of Santa Cruz, Rose In The Sky follows an easy four-chord pattern throughout, with a light rhythm paving the way for a bold and beautiful downpour of meandering melodies.

The result is something fairly secure in structure, but also with a touch of something more jazz-like in its freedom of movement and unpredictable brightness. The melodies weave in and out of the mix in a manner that’s mildly confronting, but aptly deliver a fitting sense of warmth and excitement; which seems beautifully in keeping with the implications of the artwork and this Rose In the Sky title and concept.
