As many of you celebrate new releases and creative achievements throughout the year, we’d like to take a moment to thank you for sharing these with us and making the blog what it is.
Indie music is well and truly thriving at the moment, with hundreds of thousands of new releases hitting the various streaming platforms every single day, and live venues from the very intimate to arenas and festivals are showing unrivaled popularity.
It’s an honour to write about and represent so many hard-working and passionate artists, bands and producers, as well as let the music fans out there know about some of the most interesting or original events and news items that are taking place throughout the year.
Almost eight years of writing and promoting indie releases for us has been a dream come true, a consistent source of joy, inspiration and connection, and so many great discoveries and relationships continue to emerge from all of this.
While the very concept of ‘independent’ or ‘indie’ implies a certain sense of being niche or small-scale, the industry is forever shifting and evolving, and any kind of growth or recognition is truly valued.
