Following the release of her beautifully soulful new single CoCo Brown Remix, we caught an interview with artist and songwriter Raven Salve, to find out more about her journey so far, and her plans for 2020. Here’s how it went.

Hi Raven – thanks for the interview!
Thank you for the opportunity.
For those who don’t know, how long have you been making music, and how would you describe your style?
I have been making music professionally for almost seven years now, but I began preparing for this journey at the age of five. I call my style “Symphonic Soul,” “That Feel Good Music.”
What can you tell us about the single CoCo Brown Remix?
Well, CoCo Brown Remix is about the gentleman that has all the right qualities, but he’s not yet yours. So, you admire him from afar letting your eyes appreciate his presence.
Do you produce your own beats and write the songs? Who else is involved in creating this sound?
I write the songs and co-produce some of my beats, but I work with Darren, a producer out of Nashville, Tn.
There’s a brilliantly soulful smoothness to the single, nostalgic yet fresh. Who or what would you say has been your greatest inspiration during the creative process?
If I told you that, the secrets would be out. LOL.
Is there a longer project on the way?
I do have several projects in the works, but everyone will have to wait and see what they are. In the meantime, I want all my fans to enjoy all we have out there and tell me how it makes them feel.
If you could collaborate with anyone at all, who would you choose, and why?
Wow, if I must pick just one of the many great artists out there; I would have to choose Fantasia. I’ve always admired her soulful voice and her journey.
What would you change about the music industry if you could?
If I could change anything about the music industry it would have to be the politics and the overly sexualized demand and pressure placed on artists to be a size 2 or a lighter shade just to make it.
What do you have planned creatively for throughout 2020?
I have a lot in the works, but I promise you will get all the exclusive info once it is ready.
