Hi Nick – thanks for the interview! How has 2019 been for you as an artist?
I mean it’s been pretty awesome so far, I just really started focusing and jump starting my music career the past several months and I’m so close and thankful to have my first project almost finished! 2020 is about to be crazy…!
For those who don’t know, how long have you been making music, and are you purely the songwriter or do you also produce your own tracks?
I started out in 2018 on a feature on one of my friends tracks shoutout Fenomene and It just sounded really good so I started making more, half the time I wanted to record something I didn’t have the right material to do so, so I was literally at work one time by myself recording and writing a song. I mix and master all of my music, but I have a partner who goes by the name GektorBeats who helps me out with all the cold beats!
What inspired you to write Crazy Bout You – what does the song represent?
Every time I make a song about feelings, a lot of people – especially in my home town – ask me if it connects back to a certain someone, but I just love listening to all different types of music so I can relate to everyone whether you got some stuff going on or if you wanna have a lit time. Crazy About You however is just about me taking a girl that I’m crazy about out to a dance.. yup, haha.
Who was the first artist or band you ever heard that inspired you to make music?
I grew up listening to a lot of different types of music, especially being in the only boy in the house hold with 3 girls but I stay true to hip-hop and I can listen J Cole everyday!
What are the main values you hope to bring to the music world?
Nothing but Peace, Love and Positivity +++ that’s what I got tatted on my wrist and what I live by everyday. There’s too much going on in the world right now its hard just to kick it back and forget all your main problems and have some fun. I hope with my music it can relate to everyone no matter what specific type of music you like or what there’ll be plenty to go around here soon just wait.
Is live performance an important part of your plans?
Of course, performing live is gonna be the bread and butter of getting your music out, I know right now I live in a small town in Missouri but I hope to venture out as time goes and as I release music throughout my career!
Is there a longer project on the way?
Oh for sure. My first project is gonna feature 20 songs but there’s gonna be plenty of more music on all platforms and Soundcloud if you wanna listen a little early!
Is this a part time venture, or something you’re fully involved in now?
I’ve seen a lot of people come and go trying to take music seriously but end up doing other things or they just don’t put the right effort, but I’m just here to spread the positivity and if it goes well then that’s what I plan
If you could perform at any venue or event in the world, which would you choose, and why?
There are lots of places I dream to perform at but if I could pick one place, I would choose the wells Fargo arena in Des Moines just so I can flex on my home town haha.
What’s something about you that most people don’t know?
I’m a very positive person and although sometimes being the nice guy bites you in the ass sometimes I’m always down to meet new people and give new people opportunities!
Is there anything else you’d like to say?
I would just like to thank you for doing all of this its definitely been a fun time, and for those who don’t quite know who I am my name is IInickhadleyII and I’m just an average 19 year old dude from Missouri trying to make it by. Be on the lookout for some new music very soon!
