Following his collaboration with Universal Flow Records, and prior to the release of his brand new single Wild & Young, we caught an interview with long-time artist and DJ Matthew Satoor to find out more about his journey so far. Here’s how it went.

Hi Matthew – thanks for the interview! What can you tell us about Wild & Young?
First of all I want to thank Universal Flow Records for believing in me and in this amazing track! Wild & Young is a great dance/edm/pop song about a young love couple that has a future in front of them. It’s about how much they love each other.
What do you hope people take away from the new release?
I hope people will like the sound of Wild & Young and that Wild & Young will inspire them to love each other and to love life.
How did you come to collaborate with Universal Flow Records?
Ashni and Mr. Z had a release with Universal Flow Records. I looked at the Universal Flow Records Facebook page and I saw that Universal Flow Records had promoted the Ashni and Mr. Z song very well. They promote songs like 40 to 50 days before a release, that’s what I really liked about it, so I decided to send Wild & Young to Universal Flow Records.
How long have you been making music, and what’s one of the biggest lessons you’ve learned as an artist in recent years?
Haha… I am a DJ for, like 20 years now. At 14 I start playing and today (04-09-2019) I am 35, so almost 21 years.
In 2007 I had a big release at MIDTOWN records, it’s called Electric Junkies – My drug is electro. After that I had a bit of depression. I was 21 years old, my dad passed away when I was 18 and I wasn’t over it yet. Until I got in touch with Brad Grobler (an old friend of mine), he helped me produce Wild & Young, so I (we) can continue cooperation to make more tracks and finish what we started.
I’ve learned one big lesson from my past – NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP!
Is music your full-time job right now?
Yes, it is. I still play 3 – 4 days a week as a DJ, I produce Dance/EDM/POP songs and I install sound systems and light systems in clubs.
Who would be your dream collaboration?
Wow… my dream collaboration… That’s a very good question… I think it is making a track with the biggest boy-band of all times, the Backstreet Boys.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, which would you choose, and why?
I will choose Wild & Young. That’s a song I can sing with my daughter.
What’s next for you?
I’m busy with two more tracks right now, two great tracks! I just like to make more great music for the fans, other people, and together with Universal Flow Records take over the world!
