Uniquely ethereal layers of breathy vocals, synths and keys, lead us into a starkly contrasted rap vocal, as London artist Anoushka Hem captures a fearless fusion of fast-paced electronic production and long-form lyrical outpourings, with Enough For Me.
Rooted in realism, the lyrics of Enough For Me pour through like a diary entry, unfiltered and unafraid to reveal and get vulnerable. There’s both empowerment and uncertainty woven into the songs, and the atmospheric arrangement meanders with the hanging vocal intensity, as a certain distinct creative core lets passion take precedence.
Inspired by the inner voice of expectation and criticism, Enough For Me reflects on the constant awareness of what we are supposed to become, and the song instead questions that narrative, with the hopeful refrain of simply being yourself, and that being enough.
