Balancing the classic tones of piano-pop and cinematic rock in a modest but immersive fashion, with something distinctly unfiltered and independent from the vocal lead, EMMALISA’s single Lost in LA promises both the comfort of catchy songwriting, and the refreshing realism of live performance, for a carefully captured and melodically satisfying original.
Produced by the UK’s Lostchild, Lost in LA is a timeless piano-pop ballad focused on story and sentiment, with unaffected and honest vocals guiding us through these scenes both literal and metaphorical.
Perth-based artist EMMALISA relays a story of ambition and pursuit, a poetic depiction of chasing dreams and the passion and struggles combined that are often brought about through this, and the atmospheric arrangement is both subtle and soulful in presenting the essence of that ever-relatable and inspiring journey.
