What begins as a three-note descending piano pattern, soon becomes a multi-faceted arrangement of strings and natural world fragments – all of which supports this stage-ready, theatrical and impassioned performance quite beautifully.
The result is a song that’s undeniably unique, in everything from its traditional, poetic lyrical core, to the vocal stylings, the expressive melody, and the peaceful sound of waves underneath it all.
Less than two minutes in full but striking regardless for its breathy realism and purity, Vapors of Love artistically encapsulates the implications of its title. The song seeks to personify the changing seasons of life, through references to the natural world in line with those that suggest an adoration and love for a significant other.
