Featuring an eighties-esque soundscape of marching programmed drums and pulsating bass and synth layers, Behind The Crowd effectively creates a sense of being lost within the music’s full embrace, but soon directs us through a vague and intriguing story – by way of this leading voice and long-form melody.
That dynamic adds a touch of joyful and poetic appreciation to an otherwise dark and perhaps sci-fi-soaked arena of sound.
