Artists Suzic and Reda Marko collaborate to beautiful results for this colourful and uplifting new dance-pop single.
Featuring crystal clear vocals and catchy pop sentiments throughout the melodic arrangement, the track also welcomes in a surprisingly varied, meandering soundscape, with equal parts delicate ambiance and energising dance synths and rhythms.
The structure and set-up is particularly interesting. Occasionally things are stripped back to the bare essentials, with only the subtly impressive guitar work, and later some vocal oohs, to move things along. Then suddenly the pace and detail rise up, a new lyrical section comes into play – we’re even thrown from contemporary dance-pop to classic eighties song-writing at one point.
The whole thing is incredibly eclectic in and of itself, and seems to make and break its own rules creatively throughout. At the same time, the more you listen, the more these synth riffs and certain melodic lines sink in with true pop integrity.
It’s a fresh take on the modern landscape of pop, and it speaks volumes on what’s possible artistically when you let the music lead the way.
