LA artist and songwriter Ryan Toomin offers up nine original tracks in the form of his openly vulnerability, upbeat and evocatively inspiring new album Disarray.
Stylistically introducing a piano and guitar-led indie-pop brightness, with gentle yet distinct vocals at the forefront, this project showcases the work of a creative unafraid to explore the deeper aspects of personal growth and discovery. It’s a poetic and strangely familiar approach to writing, but it’s loaded with just enough original reflections to help the music really connect in a new way.
Can’t Look It In The Face is a gorgeous example of all of this, rising from uncertain beginnings to a celebratory and uplifting chorus, and introducing the album on a humble but impressive high.
The playlist continues in this intriguing fashion, blending organic musicianship with dreamy production and consistently calming vocals. The songs are intimate but relatable, and the sound is nostalgic but with a clean, contemporary finish, for a playlist that’s really just a simple pleasure to let fill the room around you.
