Dark atmospheric rock with thick basslines and tumbling rhythms, alongside whispered to softly passionate female vocals, carving out a thoughtful, ambient and provocative space – not unlike the peak sound of Portishead from back in the day. KEE deliver an edgy alternative take that’s captivating, and fully immersive, for Sound.
Building up the intensity throughout, we begin with the vastness of pure instrumental sound, and progress through changing rhythms, tones, moments, vocal versatility, and lyrical development, for a four minute song that feels genuinely original, and ultimately satisfying in its story portrayal, artistic escapism, and the completed evolution of the Sound.
The final third in particular is enchanting, addictive and hypnotic, the vocals and instrumental gathering momentum prior until this point of perfect unity and beautiful chaos. It’s a rather stunning introduction, to an alternative band grounded by artistic intention and unique tones and production. KEE have something special and real about their music, and hopefully 2026 sees their reach grow exponentially.
