Brilliant vocals that truly peak as we rise towards a huge crescendo of a hook, Believer features short verse lines and catchy riffs that naturally take us back to the depth of indie rock from a decade or so ago. Meanwhile the band offer a fresh sense of story, an almost Gospel-like hook in its passion and falsetto versatility, and all at once we’re in an alternative and potentially mainstream realm of live show appeal.
The energy is faultless, the all-together-now shouts of ‘hey’ familiar but fitting as the track rolls along, and this is easily one of the most recognisable rock singles to hit this scene this past month.
