The second of three instrumental piano singles from this year, Red is quite stunning in its simplicity, and reminds us of the blissful escapism of music in its most raw and unfiltered setting. The playing is evocative, the melody and pattern feels new, although familiar enough to comfort, and the mind wanders accordingly – as the body falls into a state of ease and serenity.
