Borovsky - A Leap In The Dark - Stereo Stickman

Borovsky A Leap In The Dark

-

Great musical arrangements set the bar well, then we need a little depth of topic, an interesting voice, and a melody that engages and even satisfies. Borovsky puts the building blocks in place for all of this, with the unique writing, long-form expressions, ideas and personality, of A Leap In The Dark.

Production-wise we get a rise up from organic finger-picked riffs to a fully immersive pop-rock set-up, and this works well to grip you within the groove, and to keep your focus on the fluidity and sentiments of the voice.

Borovsky’s voice is great, really interesting, almost musical theatre-like, which feels original in this rising rock aura.

Then there are the lyrics, this relatable story of needing to feel the weight of fear and sudden change in order to truly follow your dreams or work towards something new. A Leap In The Dark is the essence of cutting the chord from the corporate world, and carving out your own pathway. For the artists, it’s a familiar sentiment, and Borovsky has captured it in a new and poetic fashion, which is beautiful, in my view.

Really well-created, and performed with an essential twist of identity and charm.
