Well-written and undoubtedly a bop, for lack of a better word, MY MONEY FIRST has the makings of an easy pop hit – the passion and energy rise throughout, as the melody and instrumental gather defiant momentum.
At the same time, we’re presented with a sort of motivational anthem – one that’s personal but ultimately accessible in providing the awakening boost required sometimes to kick a music fan into gear.
