Cing - It Is So - Stereo Stickman

Cing It Is So

-

Classic pop-rock with a twist of electro sound-play and a clear personal touch – Cing offers a fresh take on the love song format, with It Is So.

Featuring an easily memorable verse set-up, utilising the title-line to build anticipation towards the resolve of the hook, It Is So seems to balance familiarity and intrigue effectively throughout its poetic progression.

The concept is all at once vague and relatable, ultimately resounding with the brightness and uplift of ‘Be mine for all time’.

Bringing together mildly distorted rock layers with cleanly mixed vocals and subtle production effects, the style comes with a slight retro flair and home-made dash of authenticity combined.

The melody is admittedly fresh, not conjuring up similarities or influences but standing tall on its own sense of expression.

Partly devoted and partly loaded with uncertainty, It Is So keeps things interesting on every front, blending loyalty and doubtful observation in a consistently evolving manner. It will be interesting to hear where else the music takes Cing for future releases.

  1. Fantastic review, Rebecca. Great to see this quality of writing and enthusiasm for less well-known artists.
