Featuring a classic indie-pop hook that’s catchy yet non-intrusive, Spring Fever emerges with a notably nostalgic quality – feeling softly emotional, organic and intimate, a little nineties-esque in progression and tone. Having said that, there’s nothing that immediately comes to mind comparison-wise, which allows the whole sound and songwriting style to feel genuinely refreshing right about now.
The band’s use of poetry, metaphor, and their unique framing of familiar ideas, all helps give the song a warm and comforting kind of glow. Throw in some subtle guitar riffs and a brighter instrumental for the hook, and the track essentially evolves into soft-rock territories with a clear potential for an immersive and memorable live show.
