-

Music is an integral part of our souls. Melodious, soulful tunes that sink into the rhythm of a beat and combine to emerge as an art so perfect that it’s an anomaly to not appreciate it. If you like pop music, you will have of course been introduced to some of the finest songs humankind has composed. In our opinion, however, these are the most elite pieces of art over the rest.

1. Closer

We expect you to have heard this song at some point of time. This popular pop release of 2016 by the Chainsmokers featuring Halsey made headlines when it was played to the world for the first time. It went down in history as one of the most listened to songs of our time and the numbers are still rising.

2. One More Night

Maroon 5’s 2012 release from the album Overexposed continues to be a universal favorite. As you see, songs are tricks played in tunes and this one does it only too well. It has a catchy beat and a wonderful mix of melody and millennial craziness.

3. Wake Me Up

This became one of the most popular songs from Swedish DJ Avicii’s 2013 album True. The song which features Aloe Blacc has a few million listeners and as you probably understand, it has been a really big hit. Charts played this song well after it was initially released and, in some places, it continues to stick around even today.

4. Here Without You

This is one of the oldest songs on our list, having been released in 2002 through the album Away from the Sun by 3 Doors Down. The song is so good that it still has the world’s ears tuned to it. You’ll find out more about amazing music like this one here on Vinyl Vintage.

5. Because Of You

This song survived because of your liking it. Straight from Kelly Clarkson’s 2004 album Breakaway, Because of You has lived through the years as one of the 21st century’s most popular hits. It is a total ear-worm that you can’t stop rewinding and playing.

6. Shape of You

This popular song took the world by storm when it was released in Ed Sheeran’s Divide album in 2017. The album itself has seen huge success, with songs like Castle on The Hill, Closer and Dive finding high acclaim by music critics and blockbuster charts alike.

7. Moves Like Jagger

This is our second choice by Maroon 5 on our list. It featured in the Hands All Over album released in 2010 and has accumulated several listeners on music playlists like Google Play Music, Spotify and other similar applications.

8. Complicated

Originally released as part of Avril Lavigne’s 2002 album Punk, Complicated has found a favorable audience through the years and survives in people’s playlists and hearts to this day. The song is no longer than three or four minutes but has the perfect proportions of melody and beat.

9. DJ Got Us Falling in Love Again

Another popular favorite is this funky track by Usher that features Pitbull. It is straight out of the Raymond vs. Raymond album of 2010 and has been placed at the top of playlists worldwide.

10. Cheap Thrills

Cheap Thrills is a very popular track from Sia Furler’s 2016 album This is Acting. It became famous within days of its release and retains its position to this day on numerous charts and records.
