This is definitely one of the more interesting & genuine pop releases of recent years, and that’s not at the cost of quality – far from it. These songs are supremely well polished. Celeste Buckingham is making waves & it’s no wonder why.
Music
The production is superb & the result is a gorgeously nostalgic offering that comes soaked in a certain artistic freshness. A beautiful piece of music with some stunning vocals.
The hook has a simple melody & concept that is repeated just enough times to really make it sink in. The increasing tension or passion within the verses draws your focus elsewhere, but you always come back to that moment, that connecting thread.
A sure-fire contender for the rock playlist. The freshness gives you something new to embrace, the familiarity arouses a sense of nostalgia – both of which work beautifully together.
The music builds from something quite mellow into something that is much more emotionally loaded & passionate – complete with chaotic drums & a freely wandering guitar solo.
The movement of this single has a fairly classic feel to it, almost like a long lost hit from yesteryear, the sort that can easily be rediscovered & reintegrated into your modern day playlist.
The RnB style melody that plays the part of a verse section adds a new dynamic, the instrumental breaks are well placed, and without question, you only need to hear the single once to remember it indefinitely.
Offering a fresh look at indie rock, with a country or blues-rock twang, superb story telling & a fresh concept, among other things – this release is brilliant. Segio Gaetani exerts his artistic drive in a way that satisfies on a number of levels.
There’s an inspiring sense of freedom that occasionally comes through with independent music releases, usually it’s when the artist has written & composed in a way that is, in itself, free from expectations or limits. This is the perfect example.
The sound is sublime, the playing is clever, intricate yet not overly flashy & far from noisy. The lyrics tell a story of love in some new, unexpected way, and this is the final piece of the puzzle.
This is something really special, particularly for hip hop or conscious rap fans. The music has the delicacy of carefully crafted, creative trip-hop, and Bluff as a performer & rapper works hard to paint a clear picture for you, and to open your mind.
The structure of the song is unexpected, which makes it appear as quite fresh, and this is definitely one of the best vocal performances so far from PMKS, in my opinion. At over five minutes long the creative drive has been met here with a distinct awareness of how to craft a song.
