A stunning project, his best yet without a doubt, and as always – a total joy to write about. There’s a classic or timeless feel to the entire playlist and it’s well worth losing yourself within for a while.
The energy of the track is sky high and the recording allows the band’s strengths to really stand tall and appeal to our inner party addicts.
3mind Blight toys around with the art-form, with the writing, the effects – the song is partly for all of us, accessible and vague, yet certain moments within the verses take the form of a personal deep-dive into the artist’s own past and his role within this world.
Even with the eclectic and unpredictable nature of the music on this project, the lyrics are by far the most compelling and fascinating thread throughout it. Prepare, if you can, to feel heart broken, enlightened, uplifted, calmed, and concerned – all within the hour.
Ev Young takes the synth-driven pulse of summer-time EDM and fuses it with a notably trip-hop inspired ambiance and a reverb-soaked vocal melody for this single – all of which paints a smooth, calming audio experience around the listener.
Shreya Preeti leads with a smooth and soulful vocal on this alternative pop-RnB fusion single Junkyard. The track, or at least the live version, offers an organic musicality that’s refreshing to witness – the performance in full is of a supremely high quality, and there’s plenty of passion connected to the moment throughout.
Breaking Away is an immense joy to escape within. The sort of song that begs for you to turn up the volume, and quickly becomes addictive and close to impossible to forget about.
The very idea of What It Is is to address those fine qualities that mean so much to us but that aren’t always easily defined by language alone. Jimmy Lee Morris does a grand job of addressing and expressing this by means of a lightly colourful and easily recognisable new song.
My goal in Neon Dreams is to merge the past with the present. To engage my classical fans as much as my EDM groupies.
The entire video is enthralling from start to finish – a joy to lose yourself within, and well-crafted to the point that you really feel no need to distinguish this from (or compare it to) the original or other versions.
Electronic music doesn’t get much more immersive and interesting than this – particularly when crafted to such a unique degree, with the perfectly consistent presence of professionalism and a clear passion for audio escapism.
