“As a kid, many times I would have friends tell me horrible things about Mexicans and I would be like … whoa… I’m Mexican, and they would say that’s okay you look white. That really bothered me and my self esteem.”
“I’d say I make music for humans. Like, you can’t put me in a box. I just feel it’s unrealistic for someone to be in the same mood all the time.”
“I always make the beats first. There’s never a way I can write something and then make a beat around it. It just doesn’t work for me; I literally always make the beats first because I like starting from musicality.”
