This fusion of yesteryear and today works in a refreshingly honest and endearing manner. The song is incredibly addictive and an easy joy to have pop up within any modern playlist.

Billenholt’s voice has a fairly unique sound – it fits the tone of this alternative pop feel pretty flawlessly, but it also offers plenty in the way of personality, which lets you get a little closer to the artist as an individual.
Sweet Surrender offers a lot in the way of that big band, jazz-funk, almost Christmas joy style of musicality. A memorable, warm track – loaded with good vibes, soul, and a dash of rock & roll.

It’s not all that often I’m blown away by how uniquely unexpected an artist’s sound is. Perhaps it’s that Can’t Buy Love was the opener – a brilliant song, gorgeously atmospheric, openly sentimental, funky & quirky in a subtle but cool way.
I’ve learned to stop trying to be famous &instead d enjoy being an artist. My dream is to lose the day job & go on small-town tours, play in the evenings at the local VFW, then go off to the next town. I’d like to do that sooner rather than later.
There’s so much more to the band than the music, admittedly a confusing thing to say – I guess there’s something to connect with that runs deeper than strings & rhythm. Everyone & their neighbor should hear this album.
