Jagged Weather is a journal or sonic synopsis of my first 11 months transitioning from male to female. It deals with the stress of acknowledging the rift that exists between your internal sense of being & how the outside world perceives you.
The older I get the more I find my inspiration in my memories of youth. I know it’s a bit sentimental, but trying to recapture those first musical emotions that possessed me when I was young puts me back into my creative zone.
A work of art, as close to cinematic as music gets, and without question an album that is quite incomparable and likely enjoyable for audiences with many different musical preferences.
Winds & Walls are a sibling duo crafting undeniably unique musical soundscapes, complete with poetic, emotional songwriting, presented under a gorgeously smooth & colourful light.
The melody has a surprisingly indie-rock feel to it, as does the structure, though the leading voice appears as this electronically charged element that fits smoothly in among all that surrounds & supports it.
A brilliantly honest song that draws your affection with its lyrical approach to reality, to openness & to the inner turmoil we all feel from time to time. Dario Margeli has written from the heart while touching upon issues of the mind; it’s well balanced & it works.
The song has been superbly well crafted. Despite the electronic edge of the music, the humanity of the piece is unquestionable. The leading voice has a mellow sense of wondering & passion, carrying the song’s sentiment brilliantly.
This idea of being a living festival is somewhat neglected in modern life – there’s so much to work hard for (rightly so), but it’s equally important to soak up every second of this beautiful journey.
This approach to musical expression is loaded with individuality – the Nimbus sound quite swiftly settles in as its own thing.
