Nature’s Child are likely to get you hooked to their sound pretty quickly if you were once in any way connected to the alternative rock bands of the nineties & early noughties. Think Brand New, Jimmy Eat World – the former in particular when it comes to this single.
Let’s start this off with a big thank you to Thomas Resurrection for keeping the gravel and grit of soulful blues-rock alive. DIRTY is one of a few recent releases that present his sound in a memorable yet partly nostalgic manner.
KORI pours so much heart into the process & when the passion reaches its peak his voice more than meets the needs of the moment. He screams out on behalf of everyone who’s ever felt the love & conflict expressed in this song.
Their sound brings about a brilliantly nostalgic aura – offering hints of Placebo and the like in everything from the lyricism, the set-up, the use of melody to the leading voice.

Jupiter In Velvet drives with what initially feels like a classic rock & roll sound – vintage crackles and a strong, raspy vocal lead the way. As this album progresses though, the strength of the songwriting takes centre stage far more noticeably than anything else.
The raw energy and vibrancy of real rock and roll is well and truly due a comeback right about now; The Former Knights are undoubtedly working on that for all of us.
Grinded Grin hold nothing back and refuse to adhere to expectation or industry standards with this aptly-titled album Reset. Taking their time to craft uniquely ambient soundscapes around the listener, the band offer an original fusion of various musical angles and genres.
There hasn’t been a track yet from this creative that hasn’t fascinated me, or that hasn’t given off a careful fusion of so many elements that you just don’t seem to come across anymore these days. Absolutely a collection worth exploring.
