Our music is meant to make you reflect on the best times of your life & why they we’re so good. If we can do that for even one person listening, it’s a huge success in my book.
More people need to have that drive to say ‘this too shall end’. More people need to wake up each morning, even when they don’t want to, and kick that day’s ass. Accomplishment, personal courage, is the greatest cure for depression.

Love is always easy to write about, but difficult to actually experience – from that experience I can easily write sadder songs.
Be an artist. Don’t be a copyist. Don’t follow trends & fashions. Don’t try to please others. You’ll be a much happier person. You can look back & be proud that you did things your way.
I love writing because I can write about anything – hating myself, loving myself, Swiss cheese, parking lots. I’m never going to put myself in a box regarding what I can sing about.

The most suffocating thing you can do as an artist & indeed as a person it to limit yourself to one way of doing things
It’s best to stick with people who love & understand you, through that you”ll find the peace you are searching for with time. It might be best to also stop hurting yourself with your own thoughts too.
Listen to your gut, give it time & don’t push too hard. It’s just as important to find the right people & develop relationships as it is to find talented musicians & develop your sound. Friendship makes it work.
