Hitting the scene with the quickly entrancing melody and weight of a well-crafted soundscape, Muharreban – meaning Smuggler in this case – pours through with professionalism, swagger, personality and style all at once.
Paying tribute to faith, a higher being, the single stylishly fuses the ambient choir vibes of Gospel, with hints of subtle soul and rock, evolving consistently and passionately throughout its post-four-minute lifespan.
Everything is wonderful about this, including the musicianship. Inevitably, it won’t be to everyone’s taste. But if you aren’t a little curious after reading this, you probably don’t deserve ears. It really is that good!

Where certain layers seem decidedly vintage in this mix, certain others add a likable flicker of contemporary freedom, ultimately helping reinforce the underlying sentiments of the song; Free your mind… You can be anything that you want.
I did some research on Padana and he has an incredible backstory which makes this album’s achievements even more remarkable than I impart here, but you should check that out for yourselves, as it shouldn’t detract from what the music (notably) delivers alone.
An artist armed with authority and vulnerability, an intoxicating control of her instrument and its vibrato, LePage stomps all over this tune with the confidence normally reserved for a superstar. Remarkable song, remarkable artist.
The word here is impressive, with Elina amply displaying some fine contemporary nous and songwriting, with Beyonce levels of vocal control and with something of a signature sound, too.
