The Edward Show Musics Album is a project that takes you through the struggles & joys of daily life for Edward. He’s a character you won’t forget about any time soon, and the level of detail he offers up is about as unfiltered as can be.
Be an artist. Don’t be a copyist. Don’t follow trends & fashions. Don’t try to please others. You’ll be a much happier person. You can look back & be proud that you did things your way.
Consider the things he considers & simultaneously keep yourself entertained. Nobody makes music quite like Pete Murphy does.
It’s interesting to hear the two artists – who seem so very different from one another – access the same moment of artistry. This is creativity at its most freely meandering & thoughtful.
There’s more than just freedom on this project, the very idea of punk holds the key to that anyway, but with these songs you get an element of provocation, and the Thelonious Monk aspect adds so much that manages to escape expectation.
