Songs of hope, connection and communion, guided by darker fragments of subject matter and story, elevated by the warmth of soulful vocal depth and organic musical arrangements. Acoustic creative Patrick Ames never fails to entertain and connect with his original songs, and the brand new album Slow Dip Ahead is far from the exception.

Introducing a soul-funk explosion with a brilliantly topical, uplifting undertone – Patrick Ames rebrands his sound once again with this collaborative new project; freshly crafted throughout a tumultuous 2020.
That project title echoes in your mind as you make your way through the songs. Even with the musical positivity and bounce, you’re constantly drawn back to the thought of All I Do Is Bleed.
For the most part, this is a beautiful piece of music, stunning even – it feels far more like a flower blooming than anything fading away.
I’ve learned to stop trying to be famous &instead d enjoy being an artist. My dream is to lose the day job & go on small-town tours, play in the evenings at the local VFW, then go off to the next town. I’d like to do that sooner rather than later.
An EP that creates a wonderful groove & a string of easy going soundscapes for its audience. The underlying concepts intrigue & the passion with which they’re delivered really adds to this air of thought provoking mystery.
Great vibes, a feeling of joy & togetherness; both incredibly important & far too often forgotten about, particularly in light of recent world events.
The instrumental sounds throughout are varied & always interesting. There’s a definite sense of personality, and this makes it all the more enjoyable.
