Almost reaching the five minute mark, this single is one of the most well-crafted & considerate reggae releases of recent years. Yardie is something of a grower, for sure – those classic vibes generally either win you over from the offset or they don’t, but in this case the song grows more entrancing & enjoyable the further along you get.

Having toured with the likes of Beenie Man & Jimmy Cliff, Mullings’ experience & connection to the arts is unquestionable. On this track, his skills meet with the simple good vibes of the reggae genre, bringing together a free-flowing guitar solo & a lightly uplifting soundscape.
Rose has the addictive qualities of an alternative hit, complex in terms of the details & the thought that’s gone into it, but simple in terms of the melody & the overall vibe & sound you take away. It feels like a song for you – the words, the rhythm – it drives with the absolute energy & brightness, the positivity, designed to fit in with the feelings so many will be experiencing right now.
I think great live performances are imperative to success as an artist & it’s actually what I’m most comfortable with. I grew up super shy with really bad stage fright – I learned & have done more live performances than I’ve recorded.
Felicia DeRosa has an awesomely refreshing sound right now, the summer vibes are stronger than ever, and as an artist – her fusion of pop, reggae, rock & soul feels beautifully on point.
