Every song is different. But usually one of us will come to the other with a riff, or a verse, or a chorus, or just some part of a song, or even just a weird synth sound or something, and then we’ll both work together on making it a whole cohesive song.
Reggae
Fusing reggae & electronic rock among an often heavily atmospheric ambiance – all the while pouring ideas & reflections on life into the process by means of some simple yet fairly quick, rhythmic vocal melodies.
KL Noise Makerz bring through soulful, smooth vibes, organic & skillful, every element feeling perfectly fit & delicately included for the best possible mix. Somewhere between the likes of Jack Johnson & Sublime, but with an air of just a little something that’s crisp, clean, and brand new.
Jahmings Maccow brings something fresh to the scene – this fusion of genres, the reggae vocal style and the organic blues-rock ambiance, combined with writing of social depth and unwavering honesty, is a blessing to stumble upon.
Almost reaching the five minute mark, this single is one of the most well-crafted & considerate reggae releases of recent years. Yardie is something of a grower, for sure – those classic vibes generally either win you over from the offset or they don’t, but in this case the song grows more entrancing & enjoyable the further along you get.
Having toured with the likes of Beenie Man & Jimmy Cliff, Mullings’ experience & connection to the arts is unquestionable. On this track, his skills meet with the simple good vibes of the reggae genre, bringing together a free-flowing guitar solo & a lightly uplifting soundscape.
Rose has the addictive qualities of an alternative hit, complex in terms of the details & the thought that’s gone into it, but simple in terms of the melody & the overall vibe & sound you take away. Undoubtedly a top track from the whole of 2018 so far. Incredibly clever, catchy, stylish, and refreshingly unique right now.
The track is subtle but certain in its fusion of genres & in driving with an authentic approach to expression & a clear love for & connection to music. There’s something about a track like this that makes it need no real introduction
Walking the creative line somewhere between Jack Johnson & John Butler Trio, with an occasional, relevant dash of emotional turmoil.
A smooth & soulful piece that drives with the organic colour & carefree attitude of a simple bass line & some easy going vocals.
You get a sense this music comes naturally to the artist, which, combined with these folk-rock, acoustic ska rhythms & vibes, makes for a totally enjoyable EP.
The most suffocating thing you can do as an artist & indeed as a person it to limit yourself to one way of doing things
